The Healthiest and Happiest Places to Live in the USA

Two questions were asked to rank the top U.S. metro areas on well-being. Do you get to use your strengths every day and do you enjoy what you do? Residents of Barnstable, MA, and Naples, FL, answered a resounding “yes” to the questions asked by Gallup-Sharecare, ranking their cities at the top of the list. Other communities that ranked high included Boulder, CO; Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz, CA; and Charlottesville and Lynchburg, VA. The United States has many communities where citizens are happy and enjoy their work. You can join them by contacting USAFIS for immigration information. They will walk you through the steps of entering the Green Card Lottery.

Gallup-Sharecare surveyed over 337,000 people across the U.S. by phone in 2016 and 2017. They found that enjoying your work along with learning exciting and new things daily are strong predictors of physical, financial, social, and community health. Lead researcher Dan Witters said, “If you are using your strengths every day, it lends a real buoyancy to everything else.” People who are engaged at work show less daily stress and less physical pain. They also have lower obesity and depression rates, according to Witters. Access to parks, healthcare, and gyms also boosted the area’s overall feeling of well-being. USAFIS has one mission, and that is to help people apply for the Green Card Lottery. They want to help immigrants and their families live a better life in America and see their dreams come true.
