US Immigration Is Major Driver of American Economy

According to the Pew Research Center’s report, the number of people of working age in the U.S. was 173 million in 2015, and that number will shrink to 165 million by 2035 if the United States does not allow immigrants to enter the country.

In fact, the worker pool will likely grow to 183 million because there will not be immigrants present to fill these roles. USAFIS is an immigration service for people wanting to move to the United States to live, work, and study.

A large part of the labor force in the United States is new immigrants, which is a huge shift from the last fifty years when baby boomers (people born between 1946 and 1965) comprised the largest part of the working force. As these boomers age and retire, the United States will need replacements.

In order to pay for retiring workers, it is vital that the United States maintain a growing workforce. If this is not present, the U.S. could find itself like Japan or Germany, where there are not enough expert workers to fill the open jobs.

The Pew Research Center’s statistics are based on both legal and illegal immigrants who enter the U.S. If you are interested in moving to the United States, contact USAFIS. We can help you file your application and take you through the visa process, as well as answer any questions you may have.
